Nationally touring dancer, DJ, storyteller, and choreographer, Giuliana Velez is a movement artist based in Houston, Texas. Giuliana’s artistic practice is rooted in stylistic versatility with cultural preservation spanning across street, contemporary, hip hop, Latin, and modern dance vocabularies and genres of music.  She earned her BFA in Dance from the University of Texas at Austin (2025) and exhibited most recently as a Project Row Houses artist in residence. The multipart, interactive residency, “Mine: the body recentered” centered around themes of objectification and reclamation of the human body. As her practice continues to evolve, she remains dedicated to challenging traditional hierarchies in performances and cultivating spaces where underrepresented forms thrive and transform the stage.
